Dusties dominate for grand final win

Warragul Industrials have completed their perfect season after a comprehensive grand final win over Warranor to take out the Female Football Gippsland League under 18 girls west division premiership.
As they have done all year the Dusties were near untouchable from the first bounce, keeping the plucky Hawks scoreless to secure victory 12.7 (79) to 0.0 (0).
A particularly explosive second term in which they kicked 5.1 blew the game wide open and left Warranor no way back into the game.
The win sees them complete one of the more dominant seasons you're likely to see in local footy, with no side able to get near them all year. The Dusties conceded just 40 points across the entire year, finals included, while piling on heavy scores themselves every week.
A bumper crowd turned out at the Traralgon Showgrounds to watch the day, which also saw the under 18 east division and senior women's deciders play out.
Elizabeth Sowden led the scoring for the victors with four goals as Addison Moore (three) and Ella Sowden (two) all booted multiple majors.
Ella Sowden was awarded the AFL Victoria Medal for best on ground, as selected by the match umpires.
Sowden was also named in her team's best alongside Moore, Alisha Jamieson, Elizabeth Sowden, Kira Wilson and Abbey Wilson in what was a full team effort.
Regardless of the result there was plenty of fight shown by Warranor, who have shown great resilience in what's been an excellent season.
The Hawks made the grand final despite finishing fourth, knocking off both Phillip Island and MDU in upset victories to make it to the last day of the season.
While they were unable to trouble the scorers they certainly didn't make things easy for the Dusties for large parts of the game.
Mikayla Reynolds, Amalie Marriott, Elizabeth Kuol, Maddison Klomp, Summer Elliott and Ruby Francis were their top performers.
Other winners for the day included Bairnsdale (under 18s east) and Boisdale-Briagolong (women's).
