Drive-off with fuel nozzle

In an alleged attempt to escape local police, a 39-year-old woman from Drouin left Longwarry's westbound service station with a fuel nozzle still inserted in her car.
Police observed the woman filling up her car at the petrol station last Tuesday at 12.20am. When police discovered the car was unregistered, officers approached the woman and began talking to her.
The woman allegedly became abusive towards police before getting into the vehicle and driving off with the nozzle still placed inside the car. The nozzle was pulled off the hose in the process and remained attached to the car as it drove away.
Police did not attempt to intercept the driver and later found the nozzle at the eastbound service station.
CCTV footage has been collected and the alleged driver has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
