West Gippsland Genealogical Society will host a book launch for the release of a book documenting 80 stories of service personnel who are buried in the Drouin and Drouin West cemeteries.
The book, "A Tribute to Those Who Served volume 2" remembers World War I personnel who are buried or memorialised in the Drouin and Drouin West cemeteries.
The second volume records the family history and the stories of local people who served in World War I, providing a glimpse into their lives before and after the war and their involvement in the community.
The book features 72 stories of people in the Drouin cemetery and eight from Drouin West cemetery.
The book will be launched on Sunday, October 9 at 2pm at the Drouin Cemetery. Afternoon tea will be served.
Cost of the book is $25 and pre-order is available from the WGGS website, www.westgippslandgenealogy.com
