Warragul Regional College's top ATAR score was 96 and the student who achieved the score will be announced at the school's presentation evening tomorrow night.

Principal Rob Juratowitch said he was really pleased with the results of this year's group.

He said 70 per cent of students received ATARs between 60 and 80, "which is what most schools are aiming for."

"That is where we are aiming to get the bulk of our students' results and we have had big growth in that middle band," he said.

Mr Juratowitch said results were improving each year and the number of students achieving ATARs between 67 and 80 was increasing.

The school's science and humanities results were above the state average.
