The Neerim District Bowling Club's men's singles championship final was held on Sunday in warm, overcast and blustery conditions.
The final saw four time club champion Angus McGillivray against the up and coming Ray Throup.
In a closely fought game early, Angus eased out to a 7/3 lead on the seventh end. However, Ray had started to get into a rhythm and drew level a few ends later.
By the 16th end, Ray had a three-shot lead with the score 14/11. Ray had his tail up and was bowling with confidence, coming home for a 26/13 win.
