FIVE goals from former St Kilda AFL livewire Stephen Milne fell short of inspiring Yarragon to victory, with some clutch goals late from Trafalgar helping them to a 13-point win.
While kept quiet at times, Milne's guile and skill helped the Panthers in a second half surge to first draw within a point and then take the lead, only for Trafalgar to step up when it counted to deny Yarragon and win 10-9 (69) to 8-8 (56).
In just his third appearance this season, having previously lined up for Kilcunda-Bass and in Queensland, Milne looked dangerous early and would prove a thorn in Trafalgar's side for much of the afternoon.
