Cats aim to tame Tigers

The round 19 clash between Neerim-Neerim South and Lang Lang is set to have a significant bearing on determining which sides will secure the double chance ahead of Ellinbank District football finals.

The second-placed Cats and fourth-placed Tigers are separated by just percentage, Ellinbank sandwiched between.
Neerim-Neerim South were clinical in their victory over Nilma-Darnum last week, displaying the form worthy of a top two side best placed to challenge the undefeated Buln Buln at the business end of the season.
Lang Lang's best has seen them occupy second spot before dropping off slightly.
A loss here would all but rule out a top three finish for the Tigers, Ellinbank with a favourable match-up and significant percentage advantage ahead of their final round match.
ELLLINBANK should further consolidate its place in the top three when they host Nilma-Darnum.
The Bombers have had an improved season, but given last week's result they may struggle to challenge the third-placed Eagles.
BULN BULN host Catani looking to keep its unbeaten record intact.
With some players out last week, the Lyrebirds still found enough to step up when it counted to hold off fellow finals-bound side Longwarry.
Buln Buln should also have enough to stave off an improving Blues.
LONGWARRY will be favoured to bounce back when they travel to take on Yarragon.
The Crows took it up to Buln Buln last week after a run of eight straight wins to firmly place them as a worthy top five side.
Given Yarragon have battled personnel issues late in the season, Longwarry would be favoured to take a strong win.
TRAFALGAR will look to gain some confidence ahead of season 2025 when they host Nyora.
While the Saints are improving, the Bloods will look for a strong performance to show they could be back in the mix under new coach Shane Brewster next season.
POOWONG have the bye.
