THE presence of former Collingwood captain and coach Nathan Buckley wasn't quite enough to inspire Nilma-Darnum to a breakthrough victory.
Playing in front of a big finals like crowd, the Bombers played inspired football for the most part, only for a late charge from Catani to ultimately deny them, 13-12 (90) to 14-8 (92).
Buckley started forward as the game began under showers and was a key target early, before ultimately succumbing to a hamstring injury at the nine-minute mark which would see him take no further part in the game.
