After a 10 year hiatus, Trafalgar Golf Club is once again hosting a Pro-Am Tournament on Tuesday, January 17.
Professional golfers and amateurs alike will come together to play on one of Gippsland's premier courses, with the pros vying to take home the cash prize at the end of the day. Many amateur prizes will be on offer for the morning and afternoon players.
Trafalgar Golf Club has been struggling with very wet conditions lately, as have all the local courses. However, the grounds staff and volunteers have the course in great condition ready for the big event.
Trafalgar Golf Club thanked Community Bank Trafalgar and District for jumping on board as a major sponsor of the event. They also thanked the many other local businesses who are supporting the day.
The event features two sessions, morning and afternoon, and all those playing will enjoy a two-course meal.
The bar will be open, there will be a barbecue running all day, and spectators are welcome to come along, free of charge, and view a great day of golfing action.
Trafalgar Golf Club is keen to show off its stunning golf course to the players and visitors on the day, and look forward to the event again becoming a regular feature on the golfing calendar.
There are still amateur places available, and anyone interested in playing in the Pro-Am is encouraged to sign up by heading to the Trafalgar Golf Club website, trafalgargolf.com.au/pro-am/, to obtain an entry form.
The entry fee is $50 and includes a meal.
Trafalgar Golf Club captain Peter Moss is available on 0432 572 521 for any inquiries regarding the Pro-Am.
