Bank continues to support community

Another 14 community organisations and groups have benefited from the latest round of Community Bank Drouin sponsorships, totalling more than $35,000.
In the past four financial years, Drouin and District Community Financial Services has returned $1.57 million via grants, donations, community investments and dividends to local shareholders.
Since the bank's establishment 23 years ago, it has returned more than $7.2 million to the community.
Recipients of the recent sponsorship presentations included:
Drouin Secondary College human powered vehicle team - an optional extra-curricular activity offered to and entirely funded by students. Funding will be used to help maintain the vehicle and purchase items such as new tyres and bike shoes for the students;
Olivia's Place - silver medal sponsorship for the 2025 gala event;
Drouin Dragons Soccer Club - funds to enable the club to purchase new equipment;
Poowong East hall committee - funding for a defibrillator;
Drouin Bowling Club - corporate sponsorship for the 2025/25 season;
Drouin Combined Churches - funding for the Drouin carols by candlelight event;
Baw Baw Latrobe Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN) - sponsorship for the 2025 inspiring young people event;
Longwarry Cricket Club - assistance with repair of assets;
Darnum heritage display - sponsorship of the annual 2026 event which showcases trucks, cars, machinery and stationary engines;
Jindivick Cricket Club - sponsorship for the 2025/26 season;
Eastern Park Community Garden - funding for gardening workshops;
Western Park Cricket Club - sponsorship for 2025/26 season;
Warragul and District Amateur Basketball Association - sponsorship for squad teams; and,
Baw baw Big Blokes BBQ - sponsorship of the 2025 event.
