Neerim Pair team up with Traralgon Pair to win the Women’s State Fours Title

Neerim District pair Pat Fraser-Aurisch and Karren Sheers teamed up with Rosemary Lorenz and Di Richards from Traralgon to win the State Fours Championship at Warrnambool last week.

The four entered the State Championships after taking out the Strzelecki Bowls Region title.

Led by Pat as skip, the West Gippsland Bowls Division players overcame strong opposition from Sandbelt Bowls Region to win the title in a nail biter, 13/12.

The game was tight from start to finish, with neither team being able to score more than two on an end. 

With scores level on the last end and Strzelecki holding one shot with one bowl to come, the opposition bowl fell short to give the Strzelecki representatives the title by one shot.
