Local author Jim Connelly recently held a book launch with a difference. Jim launched four books at once at a special event at Drouin.
More than 100 supporters, friends, and family attended the launch at the Anglican Church in Drouin earlier this month.
Jim wrote the books over the past two years, but COVID restrictions prohibited the traditional book launches.
The four books are 'Round and About in Gippsland', 'Father Jeremy', Growing up in Garfield', and 'Stories of old Gippsland'. Master of ceremonies was Russell Brown and the books were officially launched by Bishop Richard Treloar, Bishop of Gippsland. Simon Connelly, violin, provided a musical interlude.
Jim has now published 13 books. "Maybe it's time for me to read some books instead of writing them," Jim said.
The books are published by Ingram Spark in Melbourne, London, and in the USA, and are available from booksellers world-wide.
Half of the proceeds from Jim's books are given away, and over $14,000 has now been given to charity through these efforts.
Jim's books are available at Need2Read in Warragul or from the author on 0480 132 113.
