Opportunities to learn how to effectively perform the duties of a Board director are again being provided by Community College Gippsland.
The 12-month Cadet Director Observer Program will introduce participants to key aspects of CCG's board operations including monthly meeting and specialist sub-committees.
Last year's cadets Jared Slater and Marie Downie highly recommend the program.
Mr Slater described it as a professional development opportunity like no other and a unique experience to understand the role and responsibilities of a board director in an organisation that makes a real difference.
Ms Downie said the impact on her of the program had been huge, personally and professionally. "Although interested, I would not have applied for a director's position because I wasn't sure I had enough experience," she said.
Both Mr Slater and Ms Downie urged anyone interested in applying for the cadet program not to hesitate.
Adults of all ages are welcome to apply and further information is available at www.ccg.asn.au/vacancies
