Klaver leads the field at Drouin on Boxing Day

Great weather greeted players for last Wednesday's stableford competition.
Scores were high, with 22 players playing to their handicap. Five of them scored 40 points or more.
In A grade, Mick Whitford led the way with an outstanding 41 points, winning by one point over three chasers. Peter Newton also had an amazing 41 points and claimed B grade for the day. Saturday
The Christmas Eve competition was stableford, with some exceptional scores recorded.
In B grade, Eddy Van Der Plight shot an amazing 77 off the stick to give him 47 points for a day he sure won't forget. An honourable mention should go to Andrew Anderson who finished three shots behind with a very impressive 44 points.
A grade was a closer affair, with a count-back needed to split the leaders. A strong back nine from Rod Richards saw him win with 40 points.

NTP: fifth Matt Guy, eighth Glen Ward, 10th Kevin O'Brien and 14th Matt Guy.
Monday
With the annual Drouin Boxing Day Picnic Races cancelled, a stableford competition was played.
Mark Klaver led the field with 41 points. Rob Christie finished second with 38 points, winning a ball down the line.
Upcoming competitions are stableford today (Wednesday), Saturday and Sunday.
