Arrest for crossbow

A man was arrested for allegedly firing a crossbow at young people in Warragul last week, on a vacant block behind Kmart.
Two young males were four-wheel-driving on a paddock behind the Hazel Drv shopping complex and Bishen Park at 7pm last Thursday when they were confronted by a man.
Police said the man became aggressive about them operating a vehicle there, and allegedly took out a crossbow, before firing at the vehicle.
The victims left the scene with the offender allegedly chasing after them on foot towards Alfred St.
Police attended the property and located eight arrows, but no crossbow, before locating the alleged offender who was interviewed for reckless conduct endangering life.
The man has been released pending summons.
