Australian music icon Kate Ceberano is bringing her acclaimed Australian Made Encore Tour to the West Gippsland Arts Centre, with fewer than 60 tickets remaining for the highly anticipated performance this Friday night.
The show follows the sell-out success of Ceberano's original Australian Made Tour and the strong reception to its live album, prompting the celebrated singer-songwriter to return to stages around the country with a refreshed production.
Spanning 30 dates across five states, the encore tour features a reworked setlist, expanded musical arrangements and new stories from Ceberano's four decades in the Australian music industry.
"Last year was an unexpected runaway success," Ceberano said.
"It ended up being the biggest rock move of my career. Coming back to do it again, and push it further, felt irresistible."
Audiences can expect a mix of Australian classics, personal favourites and reimagined songs delivered with Ceberano's trademark energy and storytelling.
Joined by multi-instrumentalist Kathleen Halloran and blues-rock performer Dusty Lee Stephensen, the tour celebrates Australian music while offering concertgoers a glimpse behind the curtain of one of the country's most enduring careers.
"It's the same engine, but a different gear.
"The setlist's been reworked, stretched and opened up. More stories. More risk. More Australian classics, old and new, and more room to live inside the songs."
Ceberano first rose to fame in the 1980s and was part of the original Australian Made movement alongside some of the nation's biggest acts, including INXS, Jimmy Barnes and Divinyls.
Almost 40 years later, she said the concept continues to evolve while celebrating Australia's rich musical heritage.
The performer will also mark her 60th birthday during the tour but insists audiences should focus on the music rather than the milestone.
"Turning 60 isn't the headline - the work is," she said.
"I feel strong, empowered and creatively fired up. Being on stage, meeting audiences, feeling that connection - that's what drives this tour forward."
With tickets quickly disappearing, local music fans are being encouraged to secure their seats soon for what promises to be one of the West Gippsland Arts Centre's biggest live music events of the year.
