Drouin will enter its match against winless Morwell as the favoured team but shouldn’t take the Tigers lightly.
Coming off an impressive win over Sale, the Hawks will be looking to back that up as they mount a challenge for the top five. Sitting outside on percentage, a win against the Tigers is a must to keep pressure on the higher ranked teams.
It should not come easy, however, with the Tigers’ form better than their winless start to the season suggests. Morwell has been competitive against the top teams and come close to breaking through, having led the impressive Wonthaggi late only to cough up the result.
Warragul will hope to open its account when it travels to Traralgon.
The Maroons have had an up and down start to the season. While they impressed against lowly Bairnsdale, the Maroons have struggled against some of the top teams.
The Gulls have showed good form in patches. If they can put it together for longer and Traralgon is off, they could be a chance.
The round will be headlined by a 2019 grand final re-match between Leongatha and Maffra. Sale and Moe are teams that will look to push deep into finals, and their match will also be enticing.
The undefeated Wonthaggi Power should be too strong for Bairnsdale at home.
