Following a successful event in 2021, Warragul will again host an Esports event this weekend at the West Gippsland Arts Centre,

The growing popularity of Esports is returning to Warragul with Baw Baw Shire council hosting a tournament and gaming event.
To be held at the West Gippsland Arts Centre next weekend, July 9 and 10, the main focus will be a series of tournaments with a prize pool of $1250 and the second edition of the Baw Baw Esports Cup.
Staged in conjunction with the Australia Esport League competition is open to all access gaming PCs and Nintendo Switch gaming consoles.
There'll be some free playing available that will give gamers of all skill levels the chance to compete and win prizes with winners crowned champions of the region for 2022.
Participants are expected from throughout Gippsland and neighbouring areas.
Mayor Michael Leaney encouraged the Baw Baw community to "come along and be part of the fun," commenting that last year was attended by players of all ages and gaming experience .
AEL chief executive officer Darren Kwan said a secondary schools competition would give local students to gain competition experience and further their interest in Esports.
