Warragul Industrials Youth girls went up against Drouin Hawks girls on Sunday July 17 in the rain, hail, and mud.
All the girls played fantastic footy in really trying conditions. There were some spectacular tackles, slippery marks and excellent teamwork.
Throughout the game, the pressure from both teams remained consistently high, however, the Dusties proved to be too strong, leading them to victory as they won 78 - 8.
The final score did not reflect the evenness of the game played.
As Drouin had beaten the Dusties in all previous games, this proved to be a huge win for the girls, ultimately sealing their place in the finals.
Best on ground for the Drouin Hawks were Ella Duncan, Cleopatra Emerald, Tearnee Bell, Leesa Guastella, and Sophie Scalzo. Best on ground for Dusties were Luka Butters, Paige Hill, Amy Boote, Molly Schuurmans, Freya Petrie, and Sienna Wakefield.
