Bowls celebrations

Drouin Bowling Club celebrated two premierships in the West Gippsland Bowls Division midweek pennant last Tuesday.

Drouin had terrific results in both division one and three, with both teams winning their grand finals in convincing fashion.

In division one, Drouin defeated Newborough 65/41 with all three rinks triumphant.  In division three, Drouin (2) defeated Newborough (3) 70/44.   

The two matches were played side by side at Traralgon’s indoor facility.  This was a great venue for the finals with plenty of room for spectators and the electronic scoreboards very visible.

Both teams had terrific seasons, finishing top of their respective ladders and scoring wins in the semi-finals to progress directly into the grand finals.

Drouin’s division one team now progresses to the Strzelecki Regional final against Inverloch.
