Catani is now home to the "Big O" goal square in recognition of the club's former goal kicker Owen Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick, known as "Big O", caused havoc for defenders between 2002 and 2018 when he accumulated more than 1000 goals.
The club said Fitzpatrick was one of only seven players across Australia to have kicked 1000 goals at one club, "so it makes sense to rename our goal square in his honour".
The belated celebration took place as Catani played its first home game of the season against Longwarry on Saturday.
Fitzpatrick is a three-time premiership player for the Blues and won the EDFL leading goal kicker award multiple times. He won the club best and fairest in 2012.
To thank the "Big O" for his achievements and inspiring fellow Blues players, a banner was unveiled and specially framed certificate presented.
