The Warragul Industrials put another win on the board after travelling to take on Woodside on Sunday.
The Dusties youth girls side caught a bus to the game, winning 52 to 14. This marked Dusties seventh win in a row, with the team placed fourth on the ladder in the Female Football Gippsland competition.
Although Dusties were unable to field a full side due to illness and injuries, Dusties played well in tough conditions.
The weather was kind at the coastal town of Woodside, with not a breath of seaside air around. However, the ground was sodden and ripped up. As a result, all players found it hard to gain pace and balance on the slippery, waterlogged field.
Dusties managed to put scores on the board early to give them a good start. At half-time, Woodside gained another of their players who had just played a game in Maffra with the Sale All Stars team. She made a difference, evident with the points going on the board for Woodside.
However, Dusties proved to be too strong in their attack and continued to keep the ball down their attacking end. They scored several points and goals in succession.
Dusties are expecting tough upcoming games in its fixture.
Final score: Dusties 52 defeated Woodside 14.
Best players: Eden Simcocks, Tyler Furlong, Rianna Jinnette, Hayley Wilson and Jordyn Vickery.
