Garfield Bowling Club hosted its second Big Bash tournament for the season on Sunday.
The Big Bash is a format similar to that seen on Bowls TV, where teams play five games of six ends, after which the top four teams play off in finals.
Garfield put on another perfect day for the event, which was enjoyed by all. After the five rounds of play, four teams stood out on top of the ladder.
Those teams then played semi-finals and a grand final.
The winners of the day were the "Men of Steel" team from Yarra Junction, consisting of Graham Steel, Alan Weeden and David Martin, who had the steel to last the day out.
The local Garfield team "White's Warriors", being Graeme Burton, Alan White and Shane Oliver, came second by the most miniscule of margins – just one point – in the final game.
