Trafalgar had a seven-run win over Willow Grove in the Latrobe Valley and District Cricket League under 14 grand final.
Day one saw a cold day at Maryvale, as spectators retreated to cars or rugged up on the sidelines. However, the Trafalgar players were not at all concerned and took to the field first after being asked at the toss.
The Ships finished the first 20 overs with 40 or so runs to get, and ended the day ahead by a single run.
Returning the following day, the side built on this lead ever so steadily, eventually gaining an advantage around the 70 mark.
Trafalgar bowlers held their nerve at the death, delivering enough dots to ensure they stayed ever-so-slightly ahead of the game.
In the end, Trafalgar 8/106 defeated Willow Grove 9/99. Dylan van der Stoep scored 25 runs and finished with 2/18. Zak Larkin also bowled well, with 2/16.
