Can Magpies continue winning streak to nab double chance?

Just how far has Poowong come since winning their past eight matches to give themselves a chance to secure the double chance?
That question will be answered when the Magpies come up against the greatest challenge in Ellinbank District football on Saturday, that being the undefeated Neerim-Neerim South on their home ground.
Sitting one win behind third-placed Trafalgar, an upset win would go a long way to advancing their chances given the Bloods will also face the Cats in the run home.
The Cats have been barely troubled this season, and would start favourite to remain undefeated. However, the Magpies could trouble them, especially if the decision is made to rest Chris Urie after coming from the field during the second quarter last week.
Sixth-placed Lang Lang will aim to keep its fleeting finals hopes alive when they host an improving Nyora.
It looms as a danger game for the Tigers, given they missed several key players last week and will come up against a determined Saints side looking to build momentum ahead of next season.
Ellinbank travel to Yarragon hoping to deliver a result to maintain their four-point advantage inside the top five.
The Eagles will need to be wary of the Panthers at home, whose best form has comfortably accounted for Longwarry and troubled Trafalgar.
Buln Buln will look to continue their strong run of form that has them second on the ladder.
They host a determined Longwarry, another mid-table side looking to build momentum ahead of next season.
Containing the speed of some of the Crows' fleet of foot youngsters will go a long way to the Lyrebirds securing another strong result, with their home ground set to suit them.
Nilma-Darnum will host Trafalgar, who will be looking to bounce back with a big win following last week's loss.
The final rounds are set to determine how much the young Bombers side have improved across the season.
Catani have the bye.
