Men charged for weapons

Two men were arrested in two separate incidents in Warragul last week for allegedly being in possession of weapons.
Police located a man wandering in the alley adjoining Palmerston St to the Woolworths carpark at about midnight on October 20.
Police said he matched the description to a man allegedly connected to stolen car. When police searched the man, he was allegedly carrying an extendable baton.
The 24 year old Warragul man was arrested, charged and bailed for theft from a car and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Later that week, police intercepted a blue Ford in Mason St on Friday.
The man was arrested after officers allegedly located drugs, a knuckle duster, and a stolen Makita impact driver in the car.
He was charged with possessing a drug of dependence, possession of a prohibited weapon, and negligently dealing with proceeds of crime.
The 19-year-old Moe man was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court at a later date.
