Amusement rides are always a popular attraction at the Drouin Ficifolia Festival and two-year-old Maxy Johnson was all smiles as she was whizzed around in a teacup with her mum Kate.

Despite COVID restrictions threatening to shut down this year’s Ficifolia Festival, the show went on for organisers who staged a successful event at the Drouin Recreation Reserve.

The community fun day on Saturday was well supported in a year where organisers focused on a reduced program because of COVID impacts.

Amongst the activities on offer were market stalls, parade, live entertainment, movie screening and fireworks display.

The feedback was all positive with community members out in force to have fun and support the annual community event.
