The Monash Community Climate Coalition was out protesting in Warragul recently.
The group aims to raise awareness around climate change in the Gippsland region, and last Friday they engaged in a protest outside Liberal federal member for Monash Russell Broadbent's office.
Group spokeperson Jessica Harrison said they are passionate about raising awareness around climate change.
"As climate change bites and as more polls come out showing that in this election, the main issue that people are concerned about is climate change and its effect, not only on us but on future generations and vulnerable communities around the world," Ms Harrison said.
The group stood outside Mr Broadbent's office holding up signs that read 'vote climate and social justice', 'save our future', and more.
"So, we are pretty shocked that Russell Broadbent hasn't moved with the times," Ms Harrison said.
"He hasn't moved with the interests of his electorate a number of times, for example... gay marriage, when he voted against it."
"We just think it's time to go, Russell," she added.
After spending time at Mr Broadbent's office the group moved down to the Victoria Street roundabout and continued the protest.
On climate change, Ms Harrision said "it is not an issue, it is the issue of our times."
