Drouin Football Club president Luke Gilbert and Warragul Football Netball Club vice president Graeme Carter with the Warragul and Drouin Gazette Cup.
Warragul retained the Warragul and Drouin Gazette Cup in emphatic fashion during Saturday's Western Derby after a successful day on the field and on the court.
The cup awards 100 total points split 50-50 between the results of four football matches and six netball matches.
Warragul won 84 points thanks to wins in all football grades as well as A grade, B grade, and 15 and under netball.
Drouin took 16 points by winning C grade, 17 and under and 13 and under netball.
Given Drouin's current attempts to change leagues to West Gippsland, there's a chance the Gulls could hold the cup for a very long time to come.
A successful move would see Drouin and Warragul featuring in different competitions next season.
Should that happen there'll be a lot of derby memories to treasure and share until they - hopefully - meet again someday.
