Three local hockey players recently returned after representing Country Victoria in the Country Hockey National Championships.
Ariya Mock, Hayley Tepper and Regan Smith were all a part of the team, finishing fifth overall on three wins and three losses.
Ariya finished the Rockhampton-based tournament as the team's leading goal scorer, Regan played as goalkeeper and Hayley was rock solid in defence until a blow to her foot on the last day saw her end the week with two broken toes.
On the final day of the tournament, the under 21 Australian Country Team was announced with Ariya being named in the side.
She will now have the opportunity to tour Indonesia this December.
