Following a recent story in the Gazette, several locals signed up to volunteer at this month's Warragul Farmers Market, helping keep the market running.
Market organisers said the response showed the power of the story, with people who had been "thinking about it" finally putting their hand up after reading the article.
"We're so grateful to those who have stepped forward – but we still need more hands to secure the future of the market," Warragul Farmers Market manager Lauren said.
Held on the third Saturday of each month, the market is not-for-profit and relies entirely on volunteers for set-up and pack-down. Anyone interested in volunteering can email manager@warragulfarmersmarket.com.au.
