900 trees for Drouin reserve

Baw Baw Shire Council hosted a National Tree Day activity at Amberly Acres Bushland Reserve in Drouin last weekend.

With assistance from 56, more than 900 native plants were planted, helping to revegetate and strengthen this important local bushland and increase biodiversity for years to come.

The planting added to the revegetation works undertaken 10 years ago.
More than 30 Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh community members travelled from Berwick to participate in the tree planting activities and generously shared food on the day.

Drouin Rotary Club also ran a barbecue on the day.
