The Ellinbank Primary School community celebrated Walk to School Day recently by going to Mt Worth State Park.
Staff, students and parents began the day with a campfire and cooked marshmallows which provided all the energy they needed for two walks in the park.
While walking the students listened to birds and looked out for wildlife along the paths.
The outdoor learning day was part of the wellbeing initiative which includes physical activity, effort, perseverance and team building activities.
For many students this was the first bush walk they had experienced.
