As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, Marist-Sion College students and staff formed a 40 on the school oval for an aerial photograph recently.
The college is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
Marist-Sion College was formed in 1975, as an amalgamation of Our Lady of Sion College and St Joseph’s Marist College for boys.
Named “drone day” the students gathered in their houses ready to march onto the oval in single file, in a precision timed event to form the 40.
Students filled in the marked out 40 on the oval, which was all filmed by a drone camera.
They then stood for a photograph before filing out of the 40 in the same way they walked in - making for a short film that amazed many Facebook followers of the school.
After the filming, students received a 40th anniversary badge and a cupcake, making the day both memorable and enjoyable.
Former students, parents and current students are invited to a 40th anniversary gala to be held on Saturday, October 17 at Lardner Park.
