Vote of confidence

Darnum Primary School’s newly elected captains, Abby Battley, Madison Mullen, Jerome Cawcutt and Liam Ancilleri, are looking forward to their new roles.

Prospective captains address the assembly outlining why they want to be a captain.

The captains are then chosen by a vote of all the students, including the preps, who circle photographs of their preferred candidates.

Principal Chris Eeles said the system worked very well.

“I think because the senior students do a lot of work under the buddy system, the younger students have a fair idea.

“We seem to end up with the right people.”
