Goals: Strikers: Seth Christy, Flynn Furphy, Otto Humphris, Jayden Ronalds. Casey: Zach Coster, Will Justice.
The Strikers are through to the under 16 boys grand final following a sold win against their arch nemesis Casey on Friday night.
Despite going down a goal early in the game the Strikers held their nerve to lead 3-1 at half time.
Going off previous history the Strikers knew that Casey would come out strong scoring again before receiving a penalty stroke.
The stroke was sensationally saved by goal keeper Joshua Cooling and the momentum swung back to the Strikers, who ran out 4-2 winners.
The Strikers will face the undefeated Camberwell in the grand final.
Under 18 mixed
Strikers 2 def by Frankston 4
Goals: Strikers: William Callanan 2. Frankston: Anthony Park 3, Archie Frew.
Unfortunately for the under 18s team their season came to an end at Frankston.
The Strikers had a wobbly start to the game and Frankston capitalised scoring the first two goals, but the Strikers settled and scored a hard fought goal by Will Callanan, which sent them into half time down 2-1.
Tenacious was the Strikers' attitude in the second half, with Will Callanan levelling the game with a stroke.
With some controversial calls by the umpires and some strange tagging techniques by Frankston they took the game 4-2.
