Division two: Thorpdale lost to Drouin (2) 70/94
Playing away at Drouin on Saturday, Thorpdale division two teams had the tables turned on them with the Drouin sides having a three-rink win.
Skip Dwayne Gunn led his team to a good 27/17 victory, however the fast synthetic surface defeated the other three teams.
Skip Ben Powell's team went down 19/23, skip Brendan Jennings' team couldn't hold up and lost 13/26, whilst skip Danny Van Zuylen's team had a disappointing day with an 11/28 loss, giving a 70/94 overall shot score.
Division six: Thopdale (2) lost to Boolarra (2) 35/45
Thorpdale's division six travelled to lovely Boolarra where play was tight for both teams through to the last couple of ends.
Skip Geoff Savige's team led for a substantial part of the play, however Boolarra rallied and won the game 17/23.
Skip Darron Fraser's team had a strong battle with the lead changing end to end.
Once again, Boolarra rallied and the game was won their way 18/22. A 35/45 shot total.
However, it was a beautiful day and the game was played against a friendly, welcoming team. What a pity the fixture won't allow us to welcome them back to Thorpdale – this season.
