The 17s grand final between Catani and Poowong started with the first three goals to the Blues.
However, Poowong was then able to get on the board. A run of seven goals late in the quarter from the Pies gave them a two-goal lead at the first break.
Poowong handled the pressure and conditions better in the second quarter, with another run of five goals. This set the game up for the Pies, leading 21-14 at half time.
Catani struggled to keep the ball in the attacking end while Poowong played good consistent team netball in the third.
This saw the margin stretch out to 12 goals by the last change, with the Pies up and about.
There were plenty of changes for the Blues throughout the match. It saw Catani produce their best quarter as they fought hard to reduce the margin.
But, it was all Poowong. They maintained control when it counted to win another 17 and under premiership by six goals.
