Gulls win into grand final

Warragul has qualified for the A grade grand final after a hard-fought and thrilling win over Moe on Saturday.
Unfortunately, the 15 and under side couldn't back it up with a win on Sunday.
A grade: Warragul 62 defeated Moe 58
On a perfect day, the stage was set for the Gulls' A grade girls to battle top-of-the-table Moe. The hard-fought and thrilling contest was full of momentum swings from start to finish.
The defensive unit, led by Jade Finn, Renee Nobelius and Ella Rees, was rock solid. The girls were instrumental in creating numerous turnover opportunities throughout the match. Their pressure and composure at the back gave the team a strong platform to build from.
In attack, Sienna Green and Naomi Allardyce drove hard and connected well through the midcourt, feeding with precision into Emma Ryde, who was a standout all day. Her presence and dominance in the ring proved to be a key difference in the game.
With a great win under their belts, the girls now shift their focus to the challenge ahead in two weeks' time. Playing off in the grand final, the Gulls will be looking to go one better than last year.

15 and under: Warragul 37 lost to Moe 46
The scene was set for what was always going to be a tough game between two very competitive teams.
From the first whistle, both teams showed that they had come to fight this game out.
It was very fast and fiery, and the defensive pressure all over the court amazing, with some exciting skills and plays on display.
With scores even at half-time, a few positional changes were made. The girls continued to fight it out in what was a physical battle out on court.
Displaying a never give up attitude, the girls fought it out to the final siren and should be proud of the season they have had. They should hold their heads up high to have got to this stage of finals.
It was a great team effort by all players.
