Dusties clean up at awards

Warragul Industrials enjoyed a successful night out at the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League awards night last Monday, taking home several awards.
The event was held at the Mornington Racecourse and was for all MPFNL netball, men's football and women's football teams.
The night started well with Dusties division one coach Scott Armour being named as coach of the year for the second year in a row and was called upon to present the team of the year plaques to the players that had been selected.
Warragul Industrials once again had great representation with five players being named in the division one team of the year.
Jess Szalek (ruck), Monai Porykali (centre half back), Alisha Molesworth (wing), Elise Molesworth (interchange) and Abbie Hoiberg-Cox (rover) all earned spots, with Hoiberg-Cox also named captain. For all five Dusties this was the second year in a row that they have made the team of the year.
To top the night off Hoiberg-Cox won the league most valuable player award. This is an award that is given to players based on votes from both coaches after each game.
She was then called back to the stage as she was then announced as the division one best and fairest.
Hoiberg-Cox polled 25 votes and was seven votes clear of second place in what was great recognition for her fantastic season.
Monai Porykali also polled extremely well and placed fourth in the best and fairest.
