Bloods aiming for double chance

by Davyd Reid
Third-placed Trafalgar travel to take on fifth-placed Lang Lang as the top six continue to jostle for position in round 16.

Vying for a top three finish and the double chance, the Bloods will look to claim victory to maintain their spot ahead of a Buln Buln side pressing for a highest possible finish.
The Bloods currently hold third position on percentage, so a loss could drop them to fourth.
The Tigers enter the crucial contest needing a result to keep their place in the five, with sixth-placed Ellinbank one win behind but with a superior percentage.
BULN BULN travel to Poowong needing to win to remain in the hunt for the double chance.
With Neerim-Neerim South awaiting in the final round and the Bloods holding a more favourable draw, it is currently Trafalgar in the box seat.
The Lyrebirds will aim to keep their strong form going during the run into finals.
ELLINBANK could find themselves in the top five after travelling to take on Catani.
Should Ellinbank win and Lang Lang drop the points, the Eagles will be in the box seat with two rounds to play.
While the Eagles face Buln Buln in round 17, they meet Bunyip in the final round.
For the Tigers, they meet Longwarry before finishing with Yarragon in what could be a final round chase for the coveted final spot.
NEERIM-NEERIM SOUTH will be favoured to maintain their unbeaten record when they travel to take on Nyora.
The interesting factor will be seeing if Mason McGarrity can become the second player to kick 100 goals this season.
LONGWARRY will look to further consolidate second spot when they host Nilma-Darnum.
The Bombers enter the contest with improved form but should find the Crows too strong.
YARRAGON will look to finish its season on a strong note when they host Bunyip.
With percentage putting them out of contention, the Panthers will look for a strong finish to demonstrate they can be around the mark next season.
