On Friday night the Mid Gippsland Junior Badminton Association hosted its closed doubles tournament which was held at the Warragul stadium.
A total of 46 players entered in the three grades and a total of 46 special doubles games were played over the three levels.
Special doubles means that each player plays with a different doubles partner for each game they play, and the top two players with the greatest number of aces are either the winners or advance to the grand final.
The players with the next highest aces are the runners-up.
Play commenced at 5:30pm and the presentation of trophies took place before 9pm. A great night with lots of badminton was had by all and the spectator stands were full of friends and family.
