Warragul's iconic Exhibition Hall is almost gone.
Demolition works began at the Howitt St site early Friday morning.
Work began at the back of the building due to its structural design.
While works were paused at the end of Friday for the weekend and today's public holiday, it is expected the building's well recognised front facade will be gone by the end of this week.
Built in the 1950s, significant structural damage saw the Howitt St building closed to the public in December.
There are no plans for the future of the site.
