Police out in force over Easter

Slow down, put the phone away, don't drink and drive and never take drugs before getting behind the wheel is the message to local motorists this Easter weekend.
Acting senior sergeant Martin Tullett reported additional police units would be out this long weekend to target all aspects of road safety.
With more traffic travelling through the Baw Baw area, he urged local motorists to play their part.
If travelling further afield, acting senior sergeant Tullett encouraged motorists to plan ahead and take breaks.
Victoria Police will be targeting speed, fatigue, distraction offences and seatbelt non-compliance during its annual Easter driving operation. Motorists should also expect to be tested for alcohol and drugs during from Thursday through to Monday.
