
Gippsland Water's new chair Tom Mollenkopf is welcomed by managing director Sarah Cumming.
Gippsland Water has a new chairperson and two new board members.
Joining the board as chairperson is Tom Mollenkopf whose experience includes executive and chief executive roles in the water and environment sector and as an advisor to government, non-government organisations and private sector clients.
He replaces Therese Ryan in the position.
The new board members are Jenny Selway and Katie Wyatt.
Also stepping down from the board are deputy chair Greg Hade and Jane Oakley.
The three new appointments were announced by Minister for Water Harriet Shing.
Mr Mollenkopf said he was privileged and excited to be appointed as chair to contribute to work to ensuring the efficient and effective of services that play a critical role in the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of Gippsland communities.
Ms Selway has more than 20 years experience as an engineer and non-executive director primarily in the energy sector and Ms Wyatt has 20 years leadership and business experience and is the current head of diversity and inclusion with the Coles group.
Managing director Sarah Cumming acknowledged the work of the retiring directors commenting on former chair Ms Ryan's achievements in leading the organisation, especially her focus on customers, safety, financial stability, innovation and staff and achieving key priorities including the recent bulk water entitles from the Tarago reservoir for Warragul and Drouin.
