Trafalgar burglaries investigated

Two offenders were observed using a crowbar or a similar item to force open glass sliding doors at the Trafalgar IGA supermarket in the early hours of Friday morning.
The burglary occurred at 1:40am.
The offenders caused damage to cupboards and the counter area while attempting to open them. Spirits valued at $280 were reported stolen.
After triggering the store alarm, the offenders fled to a waiting vehicle in Kitchener St.
Police also are investigating a burglary at a Trafalgar childcare centre overnight on Friday. Police said entry to the Nido Early School in Settlement Rd was gained via a damaged window.
The offence occurred between 6:30pm on Friday, September 19 and 9am on Saturday, September 20.
Police reported the building's alarm system was damaged and disabled. An internal door to an office area was damaged by being forced open.
They said the building was searched and damaged but it was unknown if anything was stolen.
