A car theft victim watched his vehicle being driven away during a daytime aggravated burglary in Warragul on Saturday.
Police said the victim parked the white Holden Commodore utility in a garage of the Atkinson Crt address at about noon and went inside to make a phone call.
The utility was unlocked and the garage roller door left up.
However, the victim had taken out the keys.
Police believe a device may have been used to start and steal the utility. When he heard the vehicle start, the victim went outside and saw it driving away.
The vehicle's registration plate was "BON 385".
