Concert band for kids

The West Gippsland Concert Band is giving local children the chance to discover the joy of music these school holidays, with a free workshop designed especially for young beginners.

Children aged five to nine are invited to attend the community music workshop at the Uniting Church in Yarragon on Monday, September 21, from 1pm to 4pm. The afternoon will introduce participants to singing, drumming and the fundamentals of making music in a fun, welcoming environment.

No prior musical experience is required, making the workshop an ideal opportunity for children to explore music for the first time. As always, the West Gippsland Concert Band will provide instruments, allowing participants to try a variety of musical activities without families needing to bring any equipment.

The workshop is part of the band's ongoing commitment to encouraging young people to develop confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation for music.
