High speeds detected

Police are investigating several high-speed driving offences and fail-to-stop incidents on local roads, including a driver allegedly more than 100km/h over the limit.
A 26-year-old Drouin man is expected to be charged after allegedly riding a motorcycle at more than double the speed limit at Longwarry North on Wednesday.
Cardinia Highway Patrol officers were conducting patrols at about 11.50am when they saw a blue motorcycle travelling at what appeared to be a significantly excessive speed along the Princes Hwy.
Police allege the rider was detected travelling at 171km/h in an 80km/h zone after turning onto Princes Way.
Officers intercepted the motorcycle and discovered the rider held only a learner's permit, having obtained it several months earlier.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and driving at a dangerous speed. His motorcycle was impounded for 30 days, with a release fee of $1291.
In a separate incident at 8.20am on Sunday, a silver Holden Commodore sedan (registration 1PZ HW) was detected travelling at 155km/h in an 80km/h zone on Sand Rd, before entering the Princes Fwy.
When Baw Baw Highway Patrol police activated lights and sirens, the driver allegedly failed to stop and continued at speed. Investigations are continuing.
Later the same day, at about 8.40pm, Trafalgar police attempted to intercept a solo motorcycle travelling at high speed on Sutton St, Warragul.
The rider allegedly failed to stop at the intersection with Normanby St and was last seen turning into Stoddarts Rd. Police are seeking CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incidents or has relevant CCTV/dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers or their local police station.
