Eight talented bands from Drouin Secondary College took to the stage at Drouin's Civic Park at Baw Baw Shire Council's recent Sounds of Summer event.
About 200 people of all ages attended the event, enjoying live music, giant lawn games, food trucks, colouring competitions, face painting and henna art.
The event was a collaboration between Drouin Secondary College and Baw Baw Youth Voices via the Victorian Government FReeZA program, which empowers young people to organise safe, youth-friendly events.
Based on the event's success, plans for a 2025 Sounds of Summer celebration are already in the works.
